It’s hard to be a music fan and not appreciate the Smiths. The vocals of Morrissey, the guitar licks of Johnny Marr – the songs and sound of the Smiths continue to influence Britpop as well as my musical tastes.
So it’s an understatement to say I was excited when I heard that Marr had joined Modest Mouse, another band I love, on guitar and will share song writing duties.
