A bunch of replies to my Who Makes You Think plea for advice and support. I plugged all recommendations into my reader and have followed all sites since. There were some good finds and in the spirit of sharing/filtering I’ll provide updates on which blogs deserve to remain.

Jim Parker recommended two great reads - an old favourite in Scott Karp and Trizle, a freshly written group blog on business strategy.

Here’s some quality posts from Trizle to give you an idea of their style - pairing good content with an edgy (if not at times tiring) delivery to communicate strong points.
How to Name Your Company” - Coin, Harden, Check, Move on.

How to Build Successful Business Products” - Why market research sucks and why DYWTBTSN rocks.

How to Make the Best Business Decisions” - The power of because.

What Business Are You Really In?” - A myopia 50 years on.

Trizle is not for everyone - their unique flavour will turn off some, and may turn me off in the end. But for now their ability to creatively communicate sound business strategies in a fresh new way is interesting and worth the read. Thanks Jim!

I’m a fan of Karp and recently discovered Trizle as well. Hopefully I’ll get a chance to browse through the others, thanks for posting.

Ricardo Semmler. He has put his idea’s to practice. Both his books make good reading I think.

Who Makes You Think (Update # 1)

Welcome to the conversation.

Hi, I'm Fraser and this is my personal site where I write about the things I'm interested in: start-up strategy, the web, music, and life.

My days are spent commercializing emerging technologies. Currently I'm helping to deliver the promise of semantic web to the consumer market at AdaptiveBlue. Previously I was at Trivaris, a Canadian seed stage investment firm.

I am a co-founder of Innovation Night, a community driven event supporting entrepreneurship in Canadian and US cities.

Here's what I'm doing right now:
