Who makes you think? Who challenges your thoughts and assumptions, twisting and elevating your understanding of concepts?
I want to know.
My two favourite reads, Umair and Chartreuse, have both recently gone MIA (one, mysteriously, went “back to not existing“).
I’m in desperate need of new thinkers who like the hemmoraging-edge.
Here’s what I’m asking - share a link, in the comments or email, to someone who makes you think; who pushes you forward.

Who Makes You Think (Update # 1) at Disruptive Thoughts added these pithy words on Feb 06 07 at 1:11 am[…] A bunch of replies to my Who Makes You Think plea for advice and support. I plugged all recommendations into my reader and have followed all sites since. There were some good finds and in the spirit of sharing/filtering I’ll provide updates on which blogs deserve to remain. […]

Anthony added these pithy words on Jan 19 07 at 4:00 amI miss Chartreuse as well. I have always liked the personal blog of a http://benbarren.blogspot.com“rel=”nofollow”>web start-up guy from down here in Australia. It’s not Prince Campbell but it is fun and written by someone deep in the trenches of web 2.0 who does make me think.

Fraser added these pithy words on Jan 20 07 at 5:47 amThanks guys… I’ll check out all of the suggestions and add them to my regular reading for the next little bit. I do like Evslin, Candace, and read him often up until a year ago…. but for whatever reason I stopped. Maybe too verbose?
Jim Parker added these pithy words on Jan 20 07 at 7:13 amI also enjoy Umair and have wondered about Prince. Nevertheless, here’s a couple additional: http://www.trizle.com‘ rel=”nofollow”>trizle and http://publishing2.com‘ rel=”nofollow”>scott karp

Tiago Silveira added these pithy words on Jan 23 07 at 7:34 amI miss Umair too, he’s one of my business heroes. The other hero is Carmine Coyote of Slow Leadership. But who makes me think, really think… I guess I must say Hugh MacLeod from Gaping Void. Unless you allow german podcasts to compete.
In this case, I must say Braincast from Arvid Leyh. There I learned, for example, that our brains have so many feedback loops with the body that the merely smiling can improve your mood. Something folklorical knowledge from a scientific point of view.

Jeff Lindsay added these pithy words on Feb 07 07 at 10:58 pmAckoff is hard to beat. Anybody that works with systems theory beyond management seems like a safe bet. Will Wright incorporates a lot of systems theory in his work and talks. His talks are really the only good source of what he knows and has to share and unfortunately they’re hard to get your hands on. I have most of them though, including slides. Richard Dawkins actually too. Hell, a lot of the people that spoke at TED: http://www.ted.com/tedtalks/
