Here’s my passion. Here’s a snap shot of another.
“Without passion man is a mere latent force and possibility.”
— Henri Frederic Amiel
Question: what’s your passion?
“people understand social networks, they serve a purpose besides identifying you. They are you online.”
Q: when are you going to realize this? (and what will you do when you do?)
Here’s what’s really propping up the (US) economy. Q: How do you fix a problem when society won’t admit it’s even broken?
Disruptive innovations often need disruptive channels. The same goes for disruptive careers.
Q: are you thinking about your channel?
“There was no company, no management team, no office, no employees, no business development relationships, and no business model.”
That is truly early stage investing.
Q: We’re all early stage investors in a sense. What are you investing in now?
A big lesson that business will learn from 2.0: “Create a simple product as fast as you can, then get feedback from customers and make it better.”
Q: What other 2.0-centric idea will come out of the sandbox for general business?

Here’s a great video to a great rjd2 song. (Q: why haven’t you heard this before?)

Fraser added these pithy words on Sep 22 06 at 12:45 pmI have most of his albums / eps. I really like the guy’s music. It will be interested to hear his next album — it’s going to be all samples from live instrumentation played by him.

Ian Delaney added these pithy words on Sep 22 06 at 5:31 pmVery nice round-up on disruption. Question for you: how will all this help my record shop/ florist / carpet cleaner/ nanny do better? That and similar is 95% of the businesses out there.

Fraser added these pithy words on Sep 22 06 at 8:44 pmIan - welcome to Disruptive Thoughts and thanks for the great question. I’ve been thinking about your question indirectly the past few weeks. I think a big part of the answer lies in this section of the post:
A big lesson that business will learn from 2.0: “Create a simple product as fast as you can, then get feedback from customers and make it better.†Q: What other 2.0-centric idea will come out of the sandbox for general business? Many business strategies that we’re seeing in 2.0 will cross into general business practices over time. Of course many will take a long time to filter down to the majority of local/small businesses. two questions for you - how’s the book coming along? which central theme of 2.0 would benefit the local florist today?
