Talking to Howard tonight reminded me of the diverse benefits that have come from Disruptive Thoughts. The people that I’ve met through Disruptive Thoughts has been incredible and I’m excited that there are so many more to meet. Watch out for a long overdue blogroll. And if you end up on it… expect a call 
2) I’ve been invited to join a service that will syndicate my posts to various media outlets (Washington Post, SF Gate, …). Does anyone have any experiences with this to share?
3) Convinced of the value of community catalysts, social widgets, etc. and excited about the additional value they can bring to myself / Disruptive Thoughts / … I’m going to implement a new design soon so that I can have a second sidebar with more blog bling.

Part of it is not having the time, part of it is hating the clutter on other people’s blogs. Your layout looks good at the moment, I would try and keep it clean if I were you. Be careful of overly-sticky music players.

You’re right that there’s a fine line between too much sidebar clutter - especially from a design standpoint.
