Songs for Summer – “Got To Let You Know / That You Are Everything”

I fell in love with The Robocop Kraus the first time I heard their album Tiger.

I was in second year university and the uptempo music fueled both late night study sessions and early morning drinking binges. The album is the kind that is burned in memory – a soundtrack for a period of my life.

Today I stumbled upon the album again, hidden away, unlistened to in years.

Here’s one of the many great songs from the album, Gestures of Slight Grandeur.

Fraser on Influence – Effective Communication

Effective communication has everything to do with the audience. Unique audiences have unique needs. To become an effective communicator – to ensure that your message is heard – you need to understand this. Sometimes a head-scratch, a pause, and a jumbled word is more effective than an eloquently spoken sentence. Sometimes you need to whisper in order to be heard over the noise.

This isn’t anything more than a common observation (one of the joys of being young is that you get to realize what many already know). The results of this experiment have been interesting. I’m not going to share any here but watch these videos and enjoy how different all forms of communication are across the two.
