1) An insightful glance into the workings of a creative mind (or, how a great blogger develops a good post)
2) I love to learn (I’m curious!) and have made it a goal in my life to never stop learning. Mark Cuban had a great post a while ago on “getting paid to learn“. Read it.
3) I think there’s more truth in this comment than most want to admit: “I believe you want eyeballs that transact AND eyeballs that interact beyond the computer to create a long lasting social network. Pulling them together in the Physical world for EVENTS gives you triple crown for an EYEBALL VALUE. When and if MySpace succeeds at events in the physical world, they will become a dominant social network that has valuable eyeballs WILLING to accept ADVERTISING .”
4) Jeff thinks we’re going to see “PE funds take positions in promising companies, buying out a portion of founders shares, much earlier than before.” I agree, however, I may not agree when he says “much earlier than before”. I suspect we’ll see them enter the fray when a company is ready to scale.
5) David, rejoice! Soon we’ll have a way to directly integrate the discovery benefit of personal filters into the consumption workflow, even when running, thanks to the hard work of Brad, Fred and Peter.
6) I hate voicemail. It’s old and archaic. I can’t easily search it, reference it, withdraw information from it, …. Why can’t someone take the technology behind something like this and produce a service that mobile companies can offer that transcribes the voicemail and emails you a summary. Date/Time/Phone Number and an outline of the content. I’d pay for that.
7) Now I still find him weird, but I have to admit that I like him a bit more after seeing this clip.
