A number of small housecleaning updates:

Ending my post on the challenges to commercialize Web 2.0 ventures with “I’d give you some tips, but unfortunately I can’t blog those… you can always ping me to chat.” was a cheeky mistake. I was poking fun at Umair and never suspected I’d receive inquiries for my services. Right now I’m not a consultant - sorry about the confusion (it is nice to know that a lot of Web 2.o’s are looking for commercialization advice).

I recently solved another piece of my IE visitor puzzle that stimulated a good discussion between Kent Newsome and myself. It turns out that two of my posts went viral within a vertical in a two week period. A lot of tier-2 VCs passed around a few of my posts (lots of mail.VCFIRMNAME.com referrals). Guess the VCs are still using IE.

Laura Allen from 15secondpitch.com recently offered her services to me through a comment on an old post of mine regarding elevator pitches. I’ve taken her up on her offer and we started the process today. I’m excited to see what she comes up with and I’ll let you know what I think of the service and the result when we finish.

I received a few emails about my commercializing edge aggregators post. I agree that it was filled with scattered thoughts, my brain is still processing. I’ll rework and repost in the coming weeks. It’s an interesting challenge for a number of reasons, and I think edgeio continues down the wrong path.
