Disruptive technology or not, I applaud Posima, a website development application, for its latest effort – helping non-profits obtain a web presence through the Posima Cares program.
Non-profits are always juggling so many necessary tasks with so little support, that many can’t justify the time and money necessary to create a website. Posima cares. We understand that non-profits are working hard to make the world a better place and we want to help. We have the tools to give them a web presence quickly, easily, and beautifully… without the restrictions traditionally faced. And starting Feb. 1… we’re going to take out another constraint.
100 free accounts to non-profits. Very cool.
Users will be able to introduce their efforts through text and pictures. They can setup mailing lists for volunteers and/or donors. Funds can be collected utilizing Paypal “Make a Donation” buttons. Events can be showcased by uploading video to Google then streaming it through their Posima-powered website.
People get caught up in silly things far too often (“do you think our company is really web 2.0?â€) and don’t focus nearly enough on what’s truly important. This is a good first step and it would be great to see other companies follow this example.
